FIRE RAVAGES ABUJA MARKET: TRADERS DEVASTATED BY LATE RESPONSE

A fire broke out at Kaura Modern Market, opposite Prince and Princess Estate in Abuja, late Friday night. The fire, which began around 11 pm, destroyed over 40 shops, causing significant losses for the traders. As of the time of reporting, the exact cause of the fire was unknown. Several traders expressed frustration over the delayed response from the FCT firefighters, which allowed the fire to spread further. At the scene, traders were seen sifting through the debris left by the devastating blaze.
The aftermath of the fire left the traders in distress as they assessed the damage to their businesses. Many were seen gathering what little remained of their goods, with the majority facing heavy financial losses. The incident has raised concerns about the efficiency of emergency response services in the area, with traders calling for better preparedness and quicker action to prevent such extensive damage in the future.
